BASM Client Kimmie Hosts the Leibish “World Of Colors” Diamond Event!

Last week I had the pleasure of attending an intimate press event at the St. Regis hotel in NYC for Leibish & Co, a leader in the diamond industry with a focus on providing naturally occurring fancy colored diamond stones to their client base. BASM client, Kimmie was the hostess for the event and sported a few of the drool worthy pieces including the Pink Prosperity Diamond and a gorgeous yellow diamond bracelet that totaled 54 carats and retails for $160,000.

And in case you’re curious…yes that is me in the middle in the top left picture! And full disclosure, Kimmie is also my sis (no we’re not twins!).

The Prosperity Pink Diamond makes waves everywhere it’s shown and can be considered one of the crowning glories of the Leibish brand. The diamond, which is now set in a gorgeous ring design, comes in at 1.68 carats. Attendees were able to view a variety of signature pieces from the Leibish collection as well as meet members from the company – which is family owned and operated. Additionally, the firm’s owner, Leibish Polnauer, regaled attendees with the story of the Prosperity Pink Diamond and how he came to acquire it. Leibish & Co prides themselves on their focus on strong customer service, with a 66% return customer rate – which is huge for those of you who don’t know. What’s more, this jewelry firm is mainly accessed through the web, with only a handful of physical showrooms in New York, Hong Kong and Israel.

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) for Spring/Summer 2012 may have come to an end but we’re still buzzing about all the sightings, fashions, and events that took place. In particular, Big Apple Style Marketing (BASM) is excited about the buzz that fashion stylist client, Kimmie Smith , created during this most recent NYFW! Kimmie kept the momentum going by participating in the Robert Verdi Chic Week Twitter Party where she launched her Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring ‘12 shoe collection on the eve of the first day of NYFW. Her shoes were also well received at Robert Verdi’s Chic Week Lounge where celebs such as Nigel Barker, Jill Zarin & Ms J, as well as buyers and fashion influencers were in attendance. Kimmie also co-hosted a fun styling event at Henri Bendel with friend and designer, Ted Rossie for Fashion Night Out . Together they dressed attendees and shared fun style tips.

As the week continued, she was also featured in Huffington Post’s Style. The highlight of NYFW SS12 was her live interview with Robert Verdi for his Fashion On the Go Show which took place at Lincoln Center right after the Lela Rose show where she discussed spring trends and her top picks for the next season. Kimmie rounded out NYFW SS12 with a private event to celebrate her birthday and the 4th anniversary of Kitten Lounge’s coverage of NYFW.

Kimmie is the Editor-in-Chief of Kitten Lounge, a style, luxury and accessories blog which was formed in 2007. Prior to this, she was the Editor-in-Chief of See Pretty Things, which was voted “Best Accessories Blog 2006” by Accessories Magazine. Kimmie has collaborated with a variety of popular fashion, beauty and accessories brands including Diane Von Furstenberg, Mauboussin Constellation, Flirt Cosmetics, Coach, Caress, Crest 3D White, Eucerin, and Aveeno. She is also a fashion curator, and has been featured in style segments with Steven Cojocaru for “Cojo for Summer 2011”. BASM Client Kimmie Smith Premieres on HSN this Wednesday, February 23rd!

Earlier last week I posted about one of our newest clients, Kimmie Smith (editor-in-chief of Kitten Lounge) and how she was unveiling a new set of collaborative designs (Kitten Lounge x Sebago) with the well known shoe line, Sebago. Well today (Wednesday, February 23rd) Kimmie is premiering on HSN to present Sebago’s Spring 2011 collection as part of HSN’s “Spring Shoe Spectacular”! She’ll appear during three separate segments, 2AM, 7AM and 3PM (all times Eastern Standard).

BASM Welcomes Kitten Lounge x Sebago

We’ve mentioned it briefly…but as of 2011, BASM is opening up our marketing services to retail brands. We’re assisting them with marketing and promotion and specifically with breaking into or enhancing their visibility/consumer access to the Asian market – with an initial push in Japan. So, we’re preparing to assist a host of amazing mens, women’s, accessories and beauty lines for a Japan launch. Today, we’re officially announcing that BASM will be handling the publicity and marketing for Kitten Lounge founder and Editor-in-Chief Kimmie Smith.

Additionally, we will be working in conjunction with Sebago representatives to market and promote the Kitten Lounge x Sebago Collection line which is launching in the US this weekend at Capsule, an industry only apparel trade show which takes place seasonally in New York City.

Sebago is a well respected casual and dress shoes line with a strong focus on dockside and marine oriented footwear. Sebago often creates collaboration collections with key style influencers. This year, they’ve created an Artisan Collection, featuring footwear collaborations designed by a diverse set of feature designers. The Kitten Lounge x Sebago Collection focuses mainly on women’s oriented designs with a few key “his & her’s” styles which showed at Bread & Butter last month in Berlin and received an extremely positive response. Kitten Lounge is the brain child of Kimmie Smith (a fashion stylist, and blogger) and is a lifestyle site that covers fashion, beauty, travel and more. Recently Kitten Lounge has actively sponsored high profile events like the Lookbooks/Fashion IndieBlogger Breakroom” which just took place on Monday, February 14th in New York during February Fashion Week.

Kimmie will begin her official press launch starting next week when she appears live on HSN on Wednesday, February 23rd at 2AM, 7AM and 3PM (all times are EST) where she will be promoting Sebago’s line.
