RIZE is Windows Media’s January “Artist on the Rise”

We’re very excited about this as it marks the official kick off of Japanese rock band RIZE’s US marketing campaign for 2012. As of this afternoon, the legendary rock band from Japan, RIZE, is featured on Microsoft Windows Media’s Artist on the Rise page for the entire month of January and on the Windows Media home page for the next week.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Fans and newcomers alike will be able to watch music videos to some of their most popular tracks such as Stand Up, Live or Die, Zero (our personal favorite and the official song of Coke Zero Asia), Owtkast, Pink Spider, Muppet and the new solo track from lead singer Jesse McFaddin, Gimcrack (the official track of the Japan Formula 1 racing series).

The Windows Media promotion comes on the heels of the band’s US soft launch last month with their introduction into the Jelli.com Internet radio record pool. RIZE will soon become available on Pandora radio in the coming weeks. The January placement also coincides with Jesse McFaddin’s new solo album, “Stand Up! Fund” which will be released in the US this Spring and the US launch of his clothing line, Slip&Co which will officially debut in the US at the iconic MAGIC industry only retail trade show.

Jesse McFaddin is the lead singer and founder of the extremely popular Japanese rock group, RIZE . RIZE is a hard rock/metal band that has been around for eleven years with major accomplishments such as performing at Live 8 in 2005 and Live Earth in 2007, having their song “Zero” licensed by Coke Zero Japan/Asia, various songs used for PS2 games such as “BioHazard”, and have appeared live with NIN, Run DMC, Jay Z & Oasis. They toured in the US in 2003 on an “All American” tour with The Kottonmouth Kings, performing at 38 shows across the country. Both the group, RIZE , and the lead singer, Jesse McFaddin , are major icons in the Japanese music and pop culture scenes, influencing music, entertainment and fashion by way of Jesse’s clothing line Slip&Co which has collaborated with major retail brands such as New Era.

“fade” Featured for the Month of November on Windows Media’s “Artist on the Rise” Page!

Okay, if you visit this blog on the regular, you know that Big Apple Style Marketing (BASM) provides quite a bit of content to Microsoft’s entertainment Internet site, WindowsMedia.com. Well, this week – and this month – we’ve snagged a top spot for one of our favorite and newest clients, fade! fade (intentionally lower-case!) is a five member rock band that was officially formed in Tokyo, Japan but with deep roots in the US. Four of the five members are actually originally from the States – three from New York and the lead singer (and fashion model) from Seattle.

This week, all of BASM’s WindowsMedia.com placements are for fade – even a month long placement on the “Artist on the Rise” promotional page which is entirely dedicated to them!

Up first, we have a placement on the Windows Media home page, featuring a photo from fade’s latest release, “Kings of Dawn”.

Clicking on their picture will redirect you to the “Artist on the Rise” page, which is only updated once a month. So, for an entire month, fade “stans” and interested newcomers can view photos, visit fade’s official website (www.fadeonline.com) and listen/watch songs and music videos from fade’s three latest albums: “Age of Innocence”, “To Find a Better Tomorrow” and “Kings of Dawn”.
